Elongated Navette Earthstone Ring in a Burnt Orange Color
This rare ring is titled as Earthstone in the Identifying Avon Jewelry book published in 2008 by Sandra Sturdivant on page 168. This retired ring was manufactured by Avon in 1979.
This ring is considered to be a size large. I would say by the way it fits without adjusting is a size 8 1/2. I would size down no more than to a size 8.
The stone measures 1 1/8 inches in length (28.575 mm) by about one-quarter of an inch wide (6.35 mm).
One can see why this ring was titled as Earthstone as the actual stone itself reminds me of "earthtone" in color. BUT please note, the actual color is not a bright orange as the pictures show. It is a very hard color to capture with the camera. The true color is more of a burnt earth tone orang "ish" type of color, probably more on the amber color end.

There is extremely minimal gold tone loss. It almost looks as good as the day it was sold by Avon.
