Women's Vintage 1980s Designer Signed Jewelry
A simple and elegant cream colored heart pendant hangs for a dainty single gold-tone strand chain that measures 16 inches in length. The pendant measures three-quarters of an inch wide by just under one inch in height.
The clasp is similar to a lobster clasp but instead, when the clasp is opened, the opening is at the top rather than on the side.
This jewelry piece has several areas where it is marked by Monet:
The pendant marking on the back reads as c in a circle before MONET.
The clasp is marked on the front and back. One side reads as PATENTED while the other side reads as MONET with a P.
There is a hang tag that is marked on both sides. One side reads as MONET while the other side has a C in a circle.
Though this is the first time I've come across Monet markings such as this in its totality, I am assuming this necklace was manufactured in the 1980s as I do recall this style being sold back at that time.
